Tried to reach the affected part and didn't get a reply. I'm closing this as WONTFIX. I'm pretty certain no teams are actually depending on this, so IMO this should still be removed and see if anyone complains. Keeping the VFD on the ISO is really redundant and just increases the (already large) package size This looks easy enough to do; just add -m '*.vfd' to the mkisofs command in virtio-win.spec. We should measure the size impact. The current size of virtio-win-1.9.1-0.el7.noarch.rpm is 31M (32435472). Clearing needinfo; given that there has been no response it's reasonable to assume there is no interest and/or impact. Re-opening the BZ and deferring to rhel-7.5. Check in virtio-win-1.9.4-1.el7.noarch, there is no vfd in the iso file. So change status to verified. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
