The Generate REST Virtual Procedures dialog allows setting the Name of the View Model Definition to an existing source model (which might even be the same model that is being transformed). Confirming the dialog turns the selected Source model into a View model, with no way to go back.

Steps to reproduce:
# create a source model SourceModel with at least one table in it
# right-click the model, select Modeling -> Generate REST Virtual Procedures
# set the Location and Name to the SourceModel
# select the table, click OK

Turns out it is still possible to break the source model, when the name is entered with the .xmi extension.
