the default driver in F22 is xorg-x11-drv-libinput which uses libinput underneath. libinput does pointer acceleration itself and disables in-server pointer acceleration so the xset command does nothing. the KDE settings should know about this though and adjust the right property. run xinput list-props <device name> before/after changing in KDE - does the "libinput Accel Speed property" change? [aanm@localhost ~]$ xinput list ⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)] ⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ bcm5974 id=11 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ Logitech M705 id=12 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ Logitech K360 id=13 [slave pointer (2)] ⎣ Virtual core keyboard id=3 [master keyboard (2)] ↳ Virtual core XTEST keyboard id=5 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Power Button id=6 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Video Bus id=7 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Power Button id=8 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Sleep Button id=9 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Apple Inc. Acceleration works if changes are made with xinput set-prop but KDE settings have no effect. Is this filed at bugs.kde.org yet? This needs to be fixed in upstream KDE. (In reply to Kevin Kofler from comment #4) > Is this filed at bugs.kde.org yet? This needs to be fixed in upstream KDE. I've add it now, #350688 Still happens on F24 as per the duplicate. *** Bug 1352360 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This message is a reminder that Fedora 24 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 2 (two) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 24. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '24'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 24 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. This message is a reminder that Fedora 26 is nearing its end of life.
