Description MartinG 2015-06-04 18:01:56 UTC
Description of problem:

I prefer a KDE with colors, depth, and other features that improve the usability of my KDE system. Therefore, I try to use an alternative desktop/window/icon/etc theme than the default Breeze.

In Fedora 22, I have managed to activate the Oxygen theme. However, there is no longer a setting for making the active window title stand out from the rest of the windows. In earlier version (F21) there was a setting for this.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
oxygen-mono-fonts-5.3.0-1.fc22.noarch
qt5-style-oxygen-5.3.0-1.fc22.x86_64
oxygen-fonts-common-5.3.0-1.fc22.noarch
oxygen-sound-theme-5.3.0-1.fc22.noarch
oxygen-icon-theme-15.04.1-1.fc22.noarch
oxygen-sans-fonts-5.3.0-1.fc22.noarch
oxygen-fonts-5.3.0-1.fc22.x86_64

Actual results:
Not possible to make active window title different than non-active window titlebars, and therefore hard to know which window is in focus.

What kde4 window decoration option was that, "outline active window title" ?

If so, you're probably right, I don't see that implemented in the kf5 port (yet). I'd recommdend RFE (feature requests) be submitted to upstream (bugs.kde.org), we likely won't have the resources to implement it ourselves.

Comment 2 Kriton Kyrimis 2015-06-10 04:47:16 UTC
Actually, this is not a request for enhancement, but a bug:

If you go to System Settings->Application Style->Window Decorations, you can see from the sample that the org.kde.oxygen theme specifies that active windows should have the title written with black letters, while inactive windows should have the title written with light grey letters. In F21 this was the case, but in F22 the titles of all windows are written with black letters.

Comment 3 Kriton Kyrimis 2015-09-22 10:39:41 UTC
This issue appears to have been addressed by plasma-oxygen 5.4.1-1. Active windows now have a blue glow around them, and the title is written with black letters, while inactive windows have no glow and the title is written with light grey letters.

Comment 5 Fedora End Of Life 2016-07-19 14:38:07 UTC
Fedora 22 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2016-07-19. Fedora 22 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
