Assigning to Radek for review. Radek - this is another Nova bug, and the changes can be applied to the content in the Administration Guide for now. Russell, Is the following description technically correct? * nova.scheduler.weights.io_ops - Weighs the host's workload. ... Weigher:io_ops Option: [DEFAULT] io_ops_weight_multiplier Description: Filters hosts by their I/O load (floating point). By default, io_ops_weight_multiplier=-1.0. If using a negative number, hosts with a lighter workload are given preference. A positive number prioritizes hosts with a heavier workload. Anything more you would add to the docs? sbauza is the best person to ask for review of scheduler features Hey Radek, That's correct, as it's a weigher, it will prefer the hosts having the less IO Ops if the multiplier is negative. *** Bug 1175965 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Assigning Don as the QA contact. Don, could you take a look at the newly added content? New entry for io_ops is good to go; merged. This content is now live on the Customer Portal. Closing. |
