So I assume is must be the kernel. Hm, i have built this KDE 3.2.2 without this problem here. Which gcc version has been installed on your machine. Why did you build KDE with konstruct in FC2? It's not the same KDE 3.2.2, what we have in FC2!! Sorry, i used FC1, where kde 3.2.2 is not available. I'm going to upgrade my system to FC2 and hope the problems will cease. I cannot install Fedora core 2; the installer crashes just before the packages are to be installed. So i have to continue with FC1. Gcc version is 3.3.2 This morning i used up2date to install new versions of CVS and Kpim. Then i recompiled again and i noticed konstruct downloaded some new files. Since then, the compilation works just fine and kde 3.2 is now running nicely on my system. When GCC says "The bug is not reproduceable, so it is likely a hardware or OS problem" it means the bug really is not in GCC but in hw and/or kernel. So GCC component is wrong. are you overclocking your system? can you run memtest86 to test your ram ? Not overclocking, memtest finds no faults. As stated above, after updating some components, everything compiled just fine. are you running the 2188 errata kernel ? Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem persists. The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older releases, and if you believe this bug is interesting to them, please report the problem in the bug tracker at: http://bugzilla.fedora.us/ |
