Comment 2 marc vergalle 2004-05-18 21:53:54 UTC
I checked the rams with simmtester and found no errors. So I assume
is must be the kernel.

Comment 3 Than Ngo 2004-05-19 07:58:55 UTC
Hm, i have built this KDE 3.2.2 without this problem here. Which gcc
version has been installed on your machine.

Why did you build KDE with konstruct in FC2? It's not the same KDE
3.2.2, what we have in FC2!!

Comment 4 marc vergalle 2004-05-21 11:23:30 UTC
Sorry, i used FC1, where kde 3.2.2 is not available.
I'm going to upgrade my system to FC2 and hope the problems will
cease.

Comment 5 marc vergalle 2004-05-22 07:05:01 UTC
I cannot install Fedora core 2; the installer crashes just before the
packages are to be installed.
So i have to continue with FC1.

Gcc version is 3.3.2

Comment 6 marc vergalle 2004-05-22 17:45:45 UTC
This morning i used up2date to install new versions of CVS and Kpim.
Then i recompiled again and i noticed konstruct downloaded some new
files.
Since then, the compilation works just fine and kde 3.2 is now
running nicely on my system.

Comment 7 Jakub Jelinek 2004-05-25 09:29:24 UTC
When GCC says "The bug is not reproduceable, so it is likely a hardware or OS problem"
it means the bug really is not in GCC but in hw and/or kernel.
So GCC component is wrong.

Comment 8 Arjan van de Ven 2004-05-25 10:55:35 UTC
are you overclocking your system?
can you run memtest86 to test your ram ?

Comment 9 marc vergalle 2004-05-25 11:09:15 UTC
Not overclocking, memtest finds no faults. As stated above, after
updating some components, everything compiled just fine.

Comment 10 Dave Jones 2004-05-25 12:32:01 UTC
are you running the 2188 errata kernel ?

Comment 11 David Lawrence 2004-09-29 20:27:22 UTC
Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of
the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem
persists.

The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older releases,
and if you believe this bug is interesting to them, please report the problem in
the bug tracker at: http://bugzilla.fedora.us/
