Description jigar 2015-06-29 13:52:32 UTC
Description of problem: How to easily create desktop shortcut from legacy menu entries, using gnome classic or gnome standard, as done in previous Gnome version?

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Gnome 3 Classis

How reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Open Application Menu in Gnome 3 Classic
2) Drag and drop the menu item to Desktop
3) No Shortcut is created.

Actual results: No shortcut is created.

Expected results: It should be possible to create shortcuts using drag and drop of menu items

We don't have a patch, but implementing some basic support should be fairly straight-forward, so devel+ from my side.

Comment 13 Michael Boisvert 2017-06-06 20:28:58 UTC
I am able to drag and drop menu items onto the desktop in gnome 3.22.
