Description vs 2015-07-11 11:56:41 UTC
Description of problem:

My system hanged in the middle of dnf upgrade process.

I checked last transaction status after reboot:

# dnf history info 1147
Return-Code : ** Aborted **

And tried to finish/cancel aborted transaction:

# dnf-complete-transaction
-bash: dnf-complete-transaction: command not found

# dnf history redo 1147
...
No package xscreensaver-gl-base-1:5.32-12.fc22.x86_64 installed.
Error: An operation cannot be redone

# dnf history undo 1147
...
No package kf5-kio-ntlm-0:5.11.0-1.fc22.x86_64 available.
Error: An operation cannot be undone

# dnf history rollback 1146
...
No package kf5-kio-ntlm-0:5.11.0-1.fc22.x86_64 available.

Thanks for the report. Have you seen any error message? How long have you been waiting till you hit ctrl+c? Can you reproduce it and attach the stdout + stderr so we can know in which phase DNF paused and what was the last processing package?

I did not seen any error because dnf upgrade was launched in minimized terminal window and my notebook freezed. But it does not matter why transaction has been aborted - software or hardware error, power failure, etc. The problem is that I can not complete the interrupted transaction. With yum I can run yum-complete-transaction, but it looks like such tool is absent in dnf.

Also there was a kernel panic with new kernel 4.0.7 (unable mount root) after reboot. Then I booted system with 4.0.6 kernel, ran "dnf reinstall kernel-4.0.7 kernel-core-4.0.7" and 4.0.7 works now.
