Description of problem:
Used Control-I to cause Evolution to download the images for the email I was reviewing; it hesitated for maybe 15 seconds, then crashed.

Thanks for a bug report. The crash is related into the GLib library, namely to its bug [1]. There is a similar bug report filled already here too, thus I mark this as a duplicate of it.
