Comment 3 RamaKasturi 2015-07-15 07:53:04 UTC
I did some further debugging to see why layered install of RHEL7 works and not ISO. I found that there is a package called iptables-services is missing from the ISO. After installing iptables-services package i was able to add the node successfully to console.

Kasturi, can you confirm you have used latest? as per comment 4, iptables-service is present.

Comment 6 RamaKasturi 2015-07-15 12:18:03 UTC
sahina, yes. I have used the latest.

Comment 9 Rejy M Cyriac 2015-07-15 15:07:55 UTC
The iptables-service package needs to be marked as a default package to be installed in the RHGS-3.1-RHEL7 ISO , which is currently not the case in RHGSS-3.1-RHEL-7-20150714.n.1-RHGSS-x86_64-dvd1.iso

Comment 10 Kanagaraj 2015-07-17 05:52:06 UTC
iptables-service will be installed automatically while adding the node to RHGS-C provided RHGS is registered to appropriate channels.

Kasturi, can check this out?

Comment 11 Ramesh N 2015-07-17 06:16:24 UTC
I have tested this out. I followed the steps mentioned below and everything worked for me.

1. Install the latest RHGS RHEL-7 ISO.
2. Register the system to BLR satellite server
3. Add the puddle repo for RHGS at http://download.lab.bos.redhat.com/rel-eng/RHGS/3.1-RHEL-7/2015-07-15.1/Server-RH-Gluster-3-Server.repo
4. Add the system to RHGS-C installed in a different machine.

I was able to add the node successfully with out any issue. package iptables-services was missing in the RHGS ISO, but it was pulled in automatically by RHGS-C through ovirt-host-deploy.

Closing this bug.
