I forgot to add that switching layouts around a few times "fixes" the issue. Fedora 22 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2016-07-19. Fedora 22 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed. |
Created attachment 1058823 [details] Screenshot of the issue Description of problem: Occasionally after you suspend, then resume your laptop and proceed to type in your user password (screenshot attached) you have your password entered in the wrong keyboard layout, for example the layout indicator says "en1", which stands for English (Colemak), but symbols being entered correspond to keys maybe from Russian, Ukrainian or English (QWERTY) layouts (I have those four in my system). The layout used instead of the displayed one seems to be random and is different each time. This have been happening at random since I upgraded to F22. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Up to date in Fedora 22. How reproducible: Occasionally, almost always after suspension, but never after mere screen lock. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Suspend your laptop, close lid 2. Wake up, proceed to enter you password 3. Try to key it in Actual results: The password is not accepted, using "Show Text" option and keying it in again reveals that it was entered in the wrong layout. Expected results: Correct password input. Additional info: None.
