Description of problem:
If I try to start esd I get this message:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Buy a Terratec Aureon Space 7.1
2. Configure soundcard with system-config-soundcard
3. Try to start esd
    

Actual Results:  esd fails to start

Expected Results:  esd starts

Additional info:

I cann't get also no sound from gnome-cd but Rhytmox or xmms works.

Please test with updated e-sound in rawhide and report back.
