Description of problem:
my preferred browser is set to firefox. If i click on a link in terminal it opens in midori

Downgrading to xfce4-session-4.12.1-4.fc23.x86_64 causes it to work as expected?

ok. I dug around some more on this today. 

There's two things here: 

1. We need to change the xfce-mimeapps.list to use exo-web-browser.desktop instead of hard coding midori. This would allow us to call whatever preferred browser is set in exo-preferred-applications. 

2. Even after doing the above, I had to move aside an old ~/.config/mimeapps.list because it had some x-scheme-handler/http*= that pointed to the wrong browser. 

I'm going to push a xfce4-session update that does point 1 above.
