The Fedora legacy project will be producing further kernel updates for security problems only. If this bug has not been fixed in the latest Fedora Core 2 update kernel, please try to reproduce it under Fedora Core 3, and reopen if necessary, changing the product version accordingly. From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040510 Description of problem: My system- PII 350, 256 MB RAM, mostly IDE, but using Adaptec SCSI2 adapter 2906(?) for scanner (Epson GT-7000) and internal HP CD Writer 9200+ Setup works perfect with Fedora Core 1 and *after boot* if using FC2. But some time later (probably when scanner going to standby- circa after 2-3 hours) every access to SCSI subsystem ends with hard crash. (inserting flash disk or USB external HD or mounting CDROM using SCSI device or start SANE etc etc) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kernel-2.6.5-1.358 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start up system 2. wait :) 3. access to SCSI subsystem Actual Results: After 20 .. 30 second system freezes. using dmesg i can see kernel emergency messages (and syslog works too) Expected Results: All works OK.
