Over at https://docs.docker.com/userguide/dockerimages/#image-digests, there is a short explanation of image digests and how they can be incorporated into a "docker pull" command -- there is no mention in "man docker-pull" of this feature.

  I'm assuming this is some kind of checksum feature for reliability.
