Same problem here but with kerenl .435 lsmod |grep snd comes up empty. Try using pci=nocpi in your grub boot command. ie. title Fedora Core (2.6.7-vanilla8stack) root (hd0,6) kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.7-vanilla8stack pci=noacpi ro root=LABEL=/1 quiet initrd /initrd-2.6.7-vanilla8stack.img Well I tried adding the option pci=noacpi to the grub file...(using 2.6.6-1.435.2.3 Kernel) Sound still does not work. I get about 2 seconds of the beginning of the file then silence. Going back to .358 still works fine. other ideas?? mass update for old bugs: Is this still a problem with the 2.6.9 based update kernel ? Fedora Core 2 has now reached end of life, and no further updates will be provided by Red Hat. The Fedora legacy project will be producing further kernel updates for security problems only. If this bug has not been fixed in the latest Fedora Core 2 update kernel, please try to reproduce it under Fedora Core 3, and reopen if necessary, changing the product version accordingly. Thank you. |
