.SNMP gateway is now available to receive Prometheus Alertmanager alerts
With this release, you can deploy and configure the simple network management protocol (SNMP) gateway in a Red Hat Ceph Storage cluster to receive alerts from the Prometheus Alertmanager and route them as SNMP traps to the cluster.
The SNMP gateway daemon transforms the alert into an SNMP Notification and sends it on to a designated SNMP management platform.
For more information, see the link:{operations-guide}#configuration-of-snmp-traps[_Configuration of SNMP traps_] chapter in the _{storage-product} Operations Guide_ for details.

Hi, could you update the status of the BZ please Hi, could you update the status of the BZ please Morning, Is it possible to get an update about this BZ please. Is this a priority for 3.0? Assuming the LoE is high, no. PaulC had a suggestion on how to implement this on the collectd modules he is using in his dashboard however I think John needs to chat with him and agree our approach. (In reply to Neil Levine from comment #11) > Assuming the LoE is high, no. > > PaulC had a suggestion on how to implement this on the collectd modules he > is using in his dashboard however I think John needs to chat with him and > agree our approach. @Neil, Is this going to be supported in 3.0? If not, could you please move it out of 3.0? "patches accepted" if anyone in the Community is interested. No resources to develop or test this in 3.0. Moving to 3.1. bugzilla engine grumble mumble... ;-) Looks like work related this will be done through the ceph-dashboard: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1679609 Federico, thoughts? Updating the QA Contact to a Hemant. Hemant will be rerouting them to the appropriate QE Associate. Regards, Giri Updating the QA Contact to a Hemant.
