Description Răzvan Sandu 2015-09-18 01:16:58 UTC
Description of problem:

Please provide Mondrian as a RPM package in Fedora.

Mondrian (http://community.pentaho.com/projects/mondrian/) is an Open Source Business Analytics engine that enables organizations of any size to give business users access to their data for interactive analysis.

Actual results:

Currently, there is no Mondrian RPM package in Fedora or EPEL.
However, business analytics is a critical component for many office workers (frequently a showstopper when facing GNU+Linux/Windows choice).

Expected results:

Mondrian RPM packages should be available in Fedora.

Additional info:

1. Mondrian packages already exist for Debian/Ubuntu, please see "libmondrian-java" and "libmondrian-java-doc" packages (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mondrian)

2. A detalied procedure on installing Mondrian on RedHat-family systems is available at http://www.davidghedini.com/pg/entry/install_mondrian_3_on_centos
