Description Matthias Clasen 2015-09-18 13:11:33 UTC
There are a number of issues that could confuse users. Here are some suggested improvements:

- if the browser plugin is not installed, don't offer a link to the website, or better, suggest to install the browser plugin.

- don't offer to update extensions that are installed system-wide (ie those that are most likely installed from a package).

I'd better deal with this upstream and backport any change, rather than trying to address this only for RHEL. The current version is 3.28.1 (for me gnome-tweak-tool-3.28.1-2.el7.2.noarch), and there is no link for the web site in the Extensions section, neither I found the browser plugin package - how is that named, if still used, please? (I think there was some change to remove the browser plugin or something, I do not recall any detail).

I'm closing this, because I cannot find the right place (see comment #3). Feel free to reopen, if you've the required information.
