OpenShift Online using MySQL 5.6
  
2. Who is the customer behind the request?

3. What is the nature and description of the request?  
Customer wants to be able to use Full Text Search with InnoDB
  
4. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)  
Customer claims it would solve a lot of infrastructure and development problems  

5. How would the customer like to achieve this? (List the functional requirements here)  
Be able to use MySQL 5.6 in addition to 5.5 and 5.1
  
6. For each functional requirement listed, specify how Red Hat and the customer can test to confirm the requirement is successfully implemented.
Implement a cartridge using MySQL 5.6 and run tests.
  
7. Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat Bugzilla? 
Does not seem to be a Red Hat Bugzilla. Someone has posted asking for it in the upstream forums but that's it.
  
8. Does the customer have any specific timeline dependencies and which release would they like to target (i.e. RHEL5, RHEL6)?  
  
9. Is the sales team involved in this request and do they have any additional input? 
Sales is not involved.
  
10. List any affected packages or components.

Likely, but have not asked yet.

There are currently no plans to support MySQL 5.6 in OpenShift Online.
