Description Richard W.M. Jones 2015-09-26 09:08:38 UTC
Created attachment 1077337 [details]
dmesg (host)

Description of problem:

AMD hardware, nested KVM enabled. I am running a single Ubuntu 14.04
guest.

It *reliably* hangs the guest hard and requires a complete host reboot
after I run a network-heavy command in the guest (apt-get).

In the host, there are numerous errors in dmesg (see attachment).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

4.1.6-201.fc22.x86_64

host hardware:
AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-Core Processor

How reproducible:

100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Ubuntu 14.04 guest with nested KVM enabled.
2. Run any large apt-get command.
3. Guest hangs hard.

Paolo - do you think it's the same issue as
https://lkml.org/lkml/2015/9/18/338 ?

Doing some pruning, this bug looks to be years old. Please test on a newer kernel and reopen if the problem still exists.
