Description Will Thompson 2015-09-30 20:54:19 UTC
Having installed the 'python-watchdog' package:

• python-watchdog-0.8.2-1.fc22.noarch.rpm

the 'watchmedo' command it supplies doesn't work: it is missing a dependency on pathtools>=0.1.1 and argh>=0.24.1 . Worse, the newest versions of these packages in Fedora 22 are:

• python-pathtools-0.1.2-3.fc21.noarch.rpm which is modern enough
• python-argh-0.23.2-3.fc21.noarch which is not modern enough

They don't seem to have been rebuilt since Fedora 21?

(Exactly the same problem affects python3-watchdog / watchmedo-py3.)

I have not been able to spend time on this package, would you like to fix it yourself?

If you're a packager, feel free to ask the ACLs in pkgdb and I'll grant you access to the git

Thanks :)

Okay – I'm not a packager yet, but I've kicked off various account creations this morning…

Comment 3 Pierre-YvesChibon 2016-06-14 09:35:04 UTC
If you can send me a patch for the current spec file, I can review/apply do the build as necessary :)

Comment 4 Fedora End Of Life 2016-07-19 18:04:36 UTC
Fedora 22 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2016-07-19. Fedora 22 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
