Still broken as of kernel-2.6.7-1.494.2.2 also still broken as of kernel-2.6.8-1.521 (smp kernel anyway) I'm using kernel-2.6.8-1.533 from http://people.redhat.com/arjanv/2.6/RPMS.kernel/ (from a couple of weeks ago) and it works for me now. I think it was the update to alsa-1.0.6 that did it. seems to be fixed in kernel 2.6.9-1.3_FC2 (smp - didn't try UP kernel) Reappears with Fedora 3 with the difference that the card is detected but if you want to start the mixer it says that there is no mixer. What to do ? do you have a /dev/mixer ? An update has been released for Fedora Core 3 (kernel-2.6.12-1.1372_FC3) which may contain a fix for your problem. Please update to this new kernel, and report whether or not it fixes your problem. If you have updated to Fedora Core 4 since this bug was opened, and the problem still occurs with the latest updates for that release, please change the version field of this bug to 'fc4'. Thank you.
