IE doesn't depend on Word. Why should Mozilla depend on Open Office? So you're suggesting we should duplicate the dictionaries in mozilla, or would it be cleaner to break them out of OpenOffice alltogether and make both packages depend on some myspell-dictionaries package? I didn't suggest anything other than Mozilla shouldn't depend on OO. If you want my opinion though, I would say your last idea of putting the dictionaries into a package which both Mozilla and OpenOffice.org could use is the way to go. Fedora Core 2 is now maintained by the Fedora Legacy project for security updates only. If this problem is a security issue, please reopen and reassign to the Fedora Legacy product. If it is not a security issue and hasn't been resolved in the current FC3 updates or in the FC4 test release, reopen and change the version to match. Sharing dictionaries between OpenOffice.org and mozilla/thunderbird is still a feature that would be nice to have. |
