Description Franco Bugnano 2015-10-12 15:12:56 UTC
Description of problem:
Now that the Fedora packaging policy has been changed in order to allow bundled libraries, it would be nice to have MilkyTracker updated to the latest version, with the bundled libzzip, in order to allow opening zip files (using the system libzzip results in broken zip support), instead of using the system libzzip, which results in broken zip file support.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
0.90.85, but version 0.90.86 is available since at least 2 years.

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open MilkyTracker
2. Try to open a zip file containing a module

Actual results:
An error opening the zip file occurs

Expected results:
The module inside the zip file is opened

I will attempt to address this issue in near future.

To test the zip file support, can I just make some module file and put it into a zip file root? Or does the zip file need some specific layout?

Comment 2 Franco Bugnano 2016-01-26 13:37:06 UTC
Putting the zip module file in the root is fine, just take a look at the songs that you find on

http://milkytracker.org/?download

For example the song

http://milkytracker.org/songs/Strobe-Delusional.zip

should work as it is, without needing to extract it from the zip file.

Comment 3 Joonas Sarajärvi 2016-01-30 21:15:29 UTC
Milkytracker 0.90.86-1 was just built for rawhide. It could open zip files on my system.
