Everything works correctly when the patch is applied before installation. There are no .new files for cassandra-jvm.properties nor for rhq-storage-wrapper.conf so it's still using old JMX_OPTS. Created attachment 1085323 [details]

This is fixed with the following commit to jon.git: 41ac37bddc8353 The fix was to add the missing files that were erroneously and inadvertently left out during fix for BZ 1247311. Moving to ON_QA as available for test in latest brew build: https://brewweb.devel.redhat.com/buildinfo?buildID=462976 *Note* jon-server-patch-3.3.0.GA.zip from above maps to CR01 build of JON 3.3.4. Verified on Version : 3.3.0.GA Update 04 Build Number : e9ed05b:aa79ebd |
Description of problem: After successful applying ER2 patch on JON server. Storage service fails to start on JON server start (rhqctl start). ER1 work fine - to compare logs from ER1 & ER2 updates attached. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Apply ER2 patch on JON 3.3.4 server 2. Start server with "{JON_HOME}/bin/rhqctl start" Actual results: Storage resource is Down Errors in storage logs. Expected results: Additional info:
