Description Ilpo Nyyssonen 2015-10-24 04:31:16 UTC
Description of problem:

I have a browser and gnome terminal open side by side. When I activate the terminal using touchscreen, the on-screen keyboard (caribou) appears. I have the accessibility setting screen keyboard set to off. If I toggle the screen keyboard accessibility setting on and off, then the screen keyboard won't appear when touching the terminal for a short while, but after simple toggling the activities with windows key will cause the screen keyboard to appear again when focusing the terminal by the touchscreen.

I'd like that the on-screen keybord wouldn't ever appear when the accessibility setting is off. With the accessibility setting on, the current behaviour is OK.

This computer I'm using is Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

gnome-shell-3.16.4-1.fc22.x86_64
caribou-0.4.18.1-1.fc22.x86_64

How reproducible:

All the time.

Alternatively there should be some other way to disable the on-screen keyboard.
