Description Jan Pazdziora 2015-11-03 13:37:24 UTC
Description of problem:

The popup menu User Account Database on the Identity & Authentication tab has LDAP and FreeIPA items. They seem to present exactly the same set of options. The man page authconfig-gtk and authconfig does not have any information about the difference of those two methods.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

authconfig-gtk-6.2.8-10.el7.x86_64

How reproducible:

Deterministic.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start authconfig-gtk.
2. Try to figure out if you want to select FreeIPA or LDAP option.

Actual results:

No clue.

Expected results:

Some clue, both on the UI and in man page.

authconfig-gtk is currently being discontinued in upstream and we do not plan to fix any ipa related issue in authconfig-gtk. Please, use ipa-client-install instead.
