I am having a similar issue but for bcrypt which I will want to use on EPEL7 and which then requires cffi >= 1.1.0. Is upgrading epel7 to >= 1.1.0 something that entirely out of the question or something that can be discussed? Thanks python-cffi-1.4.2-1.fc23 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 23. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2016-49b6510089 python-cffi-1.4.2-1.fc23 has been pushed to the Fedora 23 testing repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. See https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for instructions on how to install test updates.
