Ask them to try 4.2.6 please. Thank you for your answer. The user confirmed that kernel "4.2.6-200.fc22.x86_64" boots fine. Therefore, I'm closing this report. Kind regards. |
Created attachment 1096255 [details] kernel's trace printed on the screen during a failed boot. Description of problem: User "skiava" of the Italian community it.fedoracommunity.org, reported that he is unable to boot after the upgrade from Fedora 21 to Fedora 22. He experiences a kernel panic with kernel "kernel-4.2.5-201.fc22.x86_64", whereas "kernel-4.1.10-100.fc21.x86_64" and "kernel-4.1.8-100.fc21.x86_64" boot fine. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kernel-4.2.5-201.fc22.x86_64 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try to power on the system Actual results: 1. The system freezes with a kernel panic and reports the attached traceback on the screen. Expected results: 1. The system should boot normally. Additional info: I'm also attaching the output of "lspci" and "inxi -M".
