This message is a reminder that Fedora 23 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 23. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '23'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Change the below shebang line manually to "#!/usr/bin/python3" or "#!/usr/bin/python" for old version of gnome-tweak-tool. ``` $ rpm -qf /usr/bin/gnome-tweak-tool gnome-tweak-tool-3.26.4-1.fc27.noarch $ cat /usr/bin/gnome-tweak-tool | head -1 #!/usr/bin/env python3 ``` I wish this logic is executed in genome-tweak-tool.spec file. Fedora 26 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. Activating a virtualenv and then running gnome-tweak-tools results in an error like: $ gnome-tweak-tool Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/gnome-tweak-tool", line 23, in <module> import gi ImportError: No module named 'gi' This is the result of the main executable running python like: #!/usr/bin/env python so it picks up the current python runtime and not the intended one (python 2?) The python script should be patched to run with %{__python2}
