I have also filed this patch upstream so that I can eliminate the patch I applied in my source RPM:

Overall the spec looks good to me, with only one recommendation.

In the %files section, could you use some more specific paths? Using %{python2_sitelib}/* could lead to issues if any spurious files are created during the build process. The generated package looks ok, but it is cleaner that way.
