Comment 1 Cole Robinson 2015-11-24 15:48:23 UTC
How did you create the VM? virt-manager? gnome-boxes?
What distro are you installing in the VM?
Please provide 'sudo virsh dumpxml VM-NAME'

FWIW you should never edit /etc/libvirt/qemu files directly... use sudo virsh edit VM-NAME instead

Comment 2 Cole Robinson 2015-11-24 15:54:51 UTC
Also please provide

rpm -qa qemu-system-x86 libvirt-daemon spice-server
/var/log/libvirt/qemu/$VM-NAME.log

Comment 3 john 2015-11-25 15:10:21 UTC
VMs were created with virt-manager.

It seems to affect any distro used, but specifically Kali 2.0, OpenBSD 5.8, PfSense 2, Arch 2015.11.*, Tails 1.7, 9Front-4796, and Ubuntu 14.04-Desktop were tested.

This dump is from a machine that I edited the file '/etc/libvirt/qemu/<vm name>.xml' as per https://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?p=5448959#post5448959

Comment 4 Fedora End Of Life 2016-11-24 13:40:43 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 23 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 23. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version'
of '23'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora 23 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 5 Cole Robinson 2016-12-12 21:09:57 UTC
Sorry this never received a follow up, but I'm closing this since F23 is EOL. If this is still relevant on F24+, please reopen and we can go from there
