This package has changed ownership in the Fedora Package Database. Reassigning to the new owner of this component. I am seeing the same thing, I think it has something to do with the kernel version. It was broken for me on f23 when running 4.4.0-rc6, but rebooting back into 4.2.7-300.fc23.x86_64 and it started working again. I didn't change anything else. I'm encountering the same issue: depending on whether my session chosen at gdm is "GNOME" or "GNOME on X", I get either a completely black or a transparent Emacs window (including the title bar).
I bisected this to Linus' tree kernel commit ceb5d58b2170 ("net: fix sock_wake_async() rcu protection") which has made it into -rc2.
I sent a proposed fix to the LKML, c.f.
https://lkml.kernel.org/g/87ege73bma.fsf@gmail.com
Aforementioned patch made it upstream as commit
574aab1e0283 ("net, socket, socket_wq: fix missing initialization of flags")
It is included in upstream 4.4-rc8.
This will be fixed in today's rawhide kernel update. This bug was accidentally moved from POST to MODIFIED via an error in automation, please see mmccune with any questions |
