The following patches from Debian allows ghc-gtk3 (both 0.12.x in epel7 and 0.14.x in recent Fedora) to build on ppc64:

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 24 development cycle.
Changing version to '24'.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier... I applied the patch now to master.
It can be backported to earlier releases.
