Description Eli 2015-12-23 17:09:13 UTC
Description of problem:
The "Warning - KDE Accessibility Tool" dailog prompting "Do you really want to activate "Slow keys"?" keeps popping up, even though I have attempted to "Deactivate All AccessX Features & Gestures".

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Nearly always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open an 'xterm'
2. Press tab once

Actual results:
The "Slow Keys" dialog comes up every time.

Expected results:
The "Slow Keys" dialog comes up once, I select 'Deactivate' and click 'No', and then never see it again.

Additional info:
System Settings -> Desktop Behavior -> Accessibility -> Activation Gestures; "Use gestures for activating sticky keys and slow keys" is NOT enabled.

Running the KDE Spin of F22 on a System76 x64 laptop

Comment 1 Eli 2015-12-23 18:44:32 UTC
Further experimentation yielded this surprise:
In an xterm, if I run 'echo -e "\a"', the slow keys dialog appears.
In konsole, if I run 'echo -e "\a"', I get the expected bell.
