I have seen the same oops on the 2.6.7-1.494.2.2 kernel, for example at shutting down the system, where some IPv6 messages are sent that get filtered by the IPv6 packet filter. Reverting to kernel 2.6.6-1.435.2.3 solved the problem for now. This is still occurring in the 2.6.8-1.521 kernel - there seems to be a small window at boot time and shutdown time when the oops can occur. Once the system is up I can add an IPv6 firewall rule with a LOG target and everything will be fine until I shutdown at which point it will oops during the shutdown. Fix for ip6t_LOG.c OOPS
Fixed by Olaf Kirch in 2.6.9-preX
The 2.6.9-1.6_FC2 errate kernel appears to have fixed this for me. Closed by accident (with wrong resolution), so reopening. |
