Description Steve Meyers 2016-01-01 22:28:45 UTC
Description of problem:

When typing text in a form field (text or textarea) on a web page, the spellcheck will mark American English words as misspelled. I go to about:config, search for dictionary, and change it from EN-MW to EN-US. The spellchecker is then correct.

Then a day or two later, this happens again.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

firefox-43.0-1.fc22.x86_64

How reproducible:

I'm not certain how to reproduce it, other than to keep using Firefox for a while until it happens again.

Actual results:

Dictionary is set to EN-MW without user input.

Expected results:

Dictionary remains set to EN-US.

Additional info:

I do not have Firefox Sync enabled. I believe it might be picking up something from the OS language, but I'm not positive. I've never seen this behavior on other OSes.
