Adding design suite maintainer for comment... Hello Perry. I moved Krita on the default group list of design-suite group for F23 and the development. Try again to install design-suite to see Krita listed. It will be default for F24 Design Suite Labs to match the Labs website. (In reply to Perry Rivera from comment #0) > Description of problem: > > Krita is absent from the Design Suite Spin. > Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Hi Perry, Could you try to install Design Suite Spin. calligra-krita should be now be available. Hi Luya: Thanks for waiting on this. I downloaded Fedora-Live-Design_suite-x86_64-23-10-2.iso and installed the Design Suite Spin. I expected calligra-krita to be installed by default, as this is the Design spin and because the page implies that it is part of the Suite. However Krita could be installed by using "dnf install calligra-krita". So no evident change was visible from my side. Separate question, is it separately possible to install the Krita Animation Testing Suite onto Fedora? Or is that limited to Ubuntu only? https://krita.org/item/krita-2-9-animation-edition-beta-released/ Hi Perry, (In reply to Perry Rivera from comment #4) > Hi Luya: > > Thanks for waiting on this. > > I downloaded Fedora-Live-Design_suite-x86_64-23-10-2.iso and installed the > Design Suite Spin. However Krita could be installed by using "dnf install > calligra-krita". So no evident change was visible from my side. Sorry for the oversight. Unfortunately, it is too late to include the fix on version 23 iso. It will be applied on Design Suite 24 live media. However, you can use "dnf reinstall @design-suite" command now on the current release and it should list calligra-krita. For example: $ sudo dnf install @design-suite Last metadata expiration check performed 0:44:45 ago on Fri Jan 15 23:34:22 2016. It is currently limited for Ubuntu because of lack of source file. It is similar to Synfig Studio which is already included on Design Suite thus redundant as default set. Thanks Luya...I ran that command and I see calligra-krita in that list. Thank you also for the information on Krita Animation. Please pass to upstream that users are enthusiastic about using Krita Animation Beta; see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=358904 Upstream clarified Krita Animation aimed for hand drawn animation and the version was meant for testing. I will keep an eye of that project once it is ready for general release. Meanwhile, this report is now closed as Krita is available as update for Fedora 23 Design Suite and upward. |
