Hello Ken,

I am taking this review.

The gem does not build:

gem build mimemagic.gemspec

ERROR:  While executing gem ... (Gem::InvalidSpecificationException)
    [".gitignore", ".travis.yml", ".yardopts", "Gemfile", "Rakefile", "script/freedesktop.org.xml", "script/generate-mime.rb"] are not files

Will you fix that so we can proceed with this review? Also, version 0.3.2 is out, so you might want to update that.

As a note, rubygem-mimemagic already exists in Fedora.
