Description Jiri Prajzner 2016-01-19 09:49:24 UTC
Description of problem:
gnome-boxes --full-screen sets full screen only on the built-in display. Users may prefer to run the application in full screen mode on another display than the built-in one.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.18.1

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. have at least two displays
2. execute gnome-boxes --full-screen
3.

Actual results:
The application is always launched on the built-in display in full screen mode

Expected results:
The application is displayed on whatever display the user configures in full screen mode

Additional info:
Adopting the --display option could be a solution

I think shit+f11 does toggle fullscreen

It does, indeed. Still it'd be nice to have a context menu for that, too.

Not really. Context menu is for actions on boxes. As I said in bug#1299792, fullscreen should actually not happen in overview mode.

As for this bug itself, I don't really see users launching with --fullscreen a lot to warrant spending time on adding an option to set display as well. User can always drag the window to the desired display and fullscreen easily.
