Description of problem:
I think still most of people uses standard 80-character wide terminals. With a standard terminal, dnf's metadata expiration message is too long. Most of message fit on screen, just point (.) don't and is displayed on new line.
Please change this message to anything shorter, for example:

Last metadata expiration check: 0:00:00 ago on Wed Jan 27 09:27:29 2016.
