The following example shows the layout of an LVM RAID1 logical volume made up of two images: /dev/sda1 and /dev/sda2.

correction: /dev/sda2 should be /dev/sdb1

This typo (already fixed in the RHEL 7.2 version) has now been fixed in the RHEL 6 draft. The fix will be in the RHEL 6.8 Beta version of the document.
