Description Eric Stewart 2016-02-09 14:47:58 UTC
Description of problem:

mod_auth_xradius is not available in the epel7 branch.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

mod_auth_xradius-0.4.6-16.el6.x86_64

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install EPEL 7 on CentOS 7
2. Find that mod doesn't exist in repo.

Actual results:

no mod

Expected results:

Well ... "desired" results are to have the mod in EPEL 7.

Additional info:

I understand that since Apache on CentOS 7 is up to 2.4 (I think) there may be some additional code changes required to make mod_auth_xradius compatible.

Comment 1 Simone Caronni 2016-02-10 08:55:27 UTC
It's not available because the package has been retired 2 years ago [1]. It had security issues (guessable secrets), it is not compatible with Apache 2.4 and actually it has been abandoned almost 11 years ago [2] :)

Actually, it's better than trying to make it work on RHEL 7 you write your own module from scratch. It's already super-patched compared to the original code.
