Description of problem:

When a HDMI lead is plugged into my laptop to use the TV for audio and video playback, the audio and video lags. If the laptop is rebooted with the HDMI cable plugged in all is fine.

How reproducible:

Other mentions of this found on other Fedora related websites.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Laptop with Intel i3/5/7-5XXX i3/5/7 6XXX series (no separate GFX card)
2. Kernel 4.3.5-300.FC23.x86_64
3. Boot system then plug in HDMI lead and switch audio to HDMI output.

Actual results:

Audio & Video playback at reduced speed, independent of player, even the "test speakers" voice in system settings is lagged.

Expected results:

Normal sound output through TV.

Additional info:

This didn't happen around a month or two ago, I was directed to report this via the IRC channel as kernel is most likely culprit apparently.

This appears to be fixed with kernel 4.4.4*
