This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 24 development cycle.
Changing version to '24'.

write.cpp:199:21: error: no match for 'operator!=' (operand types are 'std::basic_ostream<char>' and 'int')
   return (s << str) != 0;
          ~~~~~~~~~~~^~~~
Looks like "Cannot convert 'std::ostream' to 'bool'" in https://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-6/porting_to.html
