*** Bug 1200712 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** For the record, this was a 6.2 feature, but there were no code changes. We only improved the upstream documentation (see above). I remember adding this in the User Guide: Configuring gPXE to Reduce Provisioning Times https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Satellite/6.1/html/User_Guide/sect-Red_Hat_Satellite-User_Guide-Configuring_the_Provisioning_Environment-Configuring_Provisioning_Settings.html#sect-Red_Hat_Satellite-User_Guide-Configuring_Provisioning_Settings-Configuring_gPXE_to_Reduce_Provisioning_Times In the Provisioning Guide there is: Provisioning a Host Using a Boot Disk https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Satellite/6.1/html/Provisioning_Guide/sect-Red_Hat_Satellite-Provisioning_Guide-Provisioning_a_Host_Using_a_Boot_Disk.html which says "gPXE images are currently unsupported." Yeah, but the wikipage has been completely rewritten now: http://projects.theforeman.org/projects/foreman/wiki/Fetch_boot_files_via_http_instead_of_TFTP What was source for the current (gPXE) version by the way? (In reply to Lukas Zapletal from comment #5) > Yeah, but the wikipage has been completely rewritten now: > > http://projects.theforeman.org/projects/foreman/wiki/ > Fetch_boot_files_via_http_instead_of_TFTP > > What was source for the current (gPXE) version by the way? the source was an internal document provided by sgarciam Scan this bug for his posts: Bug 1215144 - [Docs] [User] [RFE] Document use of gPXE to kickstart/provision hosts in Satellite 6 Moving back to the default assignee to be re-triaged as the schedule allows. The issue raised in this bug was also reported in BZ#1285487 where it is now being addressed. I will close this bug as a duplicate, and any further questions can be added to BZ#1285487 as needed. Kind regards, Andrew *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1285487 *** Closing old needinfo request. |
