The version of proj distributed with EPEL7 (4.8.0-4) is getting old in the tooth and I wish to install python-cartopy, which has a 4.9.0 proj requirement.  Please consider updating proj to the latest release, 4.9.2.  Thank you!

This is likely a terrible idea :( due to SO updates.

I have been manually attempting to update all of the various packages that depend on proj and it has not been a pleasant experience.  For example, GDAL has a hardcoded load of libproj.so.0 :(

So I'll take the liberty of closing my own request, if I have that power.
