Description of problem:

When I wake-up my Asus Q551LN after suspend, the cooling fans are turned on at maximum level. I have to shutdown the box to turn them off (restart doesn't work).

Consistently

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Suspend the machine
2. Wake-up the machine

Actual results:

The fans are turned on to max level no matter the activity.

Expected results:

The fans power is increased only when required.

This seems to have been fixed in kernel 4.4.3. I cannot longer reproduce the issue running with a 4.4.3 compile straight from the kernel.org source (no fedora patches).
