Description of problem:
When I try to open a mp3 file to edit it, it shows a warning:  "This version isn't compiled to work with mp3."

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 
2.1.2


How reproducible:
Trying to edit a mp3.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start Audacity.
2.Open a mp3
3.

Actual results:
It doesn't work although it recognises as an audio file.

Expected results:
Opening and working with it without problems.

Hi Sylvia, as you may be aware the Fedora project does not provide software for opening/editing/playing/writing certain file types; mp3 is one of those.

You may choose to use an external Fedora compatible software repository where you may find a version of Audacity-freeworld with mp3/ffmpeg import and export built-in.
